(6) Lansana Sessay, parents unknown, was picked up by one of our team of volunteers in their normal patrol. He was apparently left to die by his mother just after she gave birth, so we took him to the police station. After a thorough investigation he was given to us, and is presently in foster care.
(7) Santagie's parents are both peasant farmers and are very poor. Santagie was living in a very a deplorable condition with no good food to eat and no good shoes or slippers to put on. He was picked up by a member of our evangelising team, who brought him to the home, and he is presently in a foster care home where is being taken care of.
(8) Bundu Kanu's father died of a sickness 10 years ago. His mother was a student of a junior secondary school unable to take care of the child so he was brought to Freetown to be used for child labour. He was picked up by a lady in our church, and after much interrogation and investigation he was finally registered in our orphanage.
(9) Just after the death of Yeabu Sesay's parents due to some strange illness, Yeabu was brought down to Freetown by her grandmother, who instead of sending Yeabu to school, decided to send her to the street to sell on the street. So she was arrested and taken to the social welfare ministry, because a child of her age, at that time 12 years old, was supposed to be in school. After investigation it was discovered that the grandmother was too old and too poor to send her to school, so he was handed over to our organization by the authorities, and is being taken care of in a foster care home.
(10) Fatu Sesay lost both her parents in the recent mudslides that struck this country. At the present time she is residing at foster care home. She was saved by the grace of God as she was pulled alive from their home three hours after the mudslide happened.
